For the magazine to deliver Linkin Park’s personality, deep emotions meets industrial, it needed to be an outlier against the vast of music magazines, just as they are in an outliner in the music industry. Along with being an outliner it also needed to be compelling to not just their fan base. How might this magazine catch the eye of many consumers?

The use of a solely black and white color pallet mirrors the unapologetic personality of the band and their music. Showcasing how they forged their own genre, they are who they are - nothing more, nothing less. The Gotham type face is urban and industrial, just like the aesthetic of the album talked about in the article.
