Project Overview:
The goal of the project was to design cards that used symbolism and metaphors to express the emotional and literal meaning of the poem On the beach at Night Alone by Walt Whitman.
Creative Challenge:
For the cards to demonstrate Whitman’s poem they need to use imagery, icons, and patters to create cohesive set. How might the cards convey the poem’s meaning without being too literal?

Solution:
The House of Cards are moody and romantic reflecting the poem's emotions. Inspired by surrealism art to create an interaction between the imagery, typography, and patterns. With the use of type as pattern to emulate the repetitive word pattern in Whitman’s poem. The use of nature elements is used to convey the sense of connection of all living things in the poems.
